Western Civilisation is under attack!
All the values we thought were timeless, self-evident, and sacrosanct are now being destroyed from within. Truth, beauty, science, reason, critical thinking, the socratic method of dialogue, and, most importantly, the sovereignty of the individual- these values were once thought of as worth fighting for and even dying for. However, the institutions once depended on to preserve, protect, and pass on these values have become corrupted and infiltrated by a parasitic virus – WOKE!
Call it what you like – Critical Theory, Critical Social Justice, Neo-Marxism, Hegelian Dialectic, Political Correctness, Identity Politics, DEI, Post-modern Relativism, Gnosticism, Mysticism, Paganism! – we all know what it is when we see it and hear it!
It destroys thinking, debate, discussion, unity, good will, good faith, spontaneity, authenticity. It makes relationships impossible. It despises curiosity and originality. It hates happiness, success, and achievement. It wants to crush the human spirit no less, and would prefer it if we were simply all kept quiet and conformed. Not going to happen!
The problem has been named and many many discussions have been had but at Stand Up to Woke we know that ACTION is what is required. We seek to push back against these reality-evading power-hungry maniacs through five key ways:

Law: We have run a successful crowdfunding campaign to take take Critical Race Theory to court. We want to raise more awareness of the illegality of many DEI practices being pushed in the NHS and other institutions. We will also provide help, support, and consultation to those considering or going through legal cases.
Politics: We are keen to work across political parties to raise awareness of the negative impact and harms happening across the UK due to woke ideology. In 2024 we will be working with the Social Democratic Party to lead a London Mayoral campaign to defund Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) within London Public Transport and the London Metropilitan Police force.
Art: At Stand Up to Woke we are keen to promote art that pushes back against prevailing woke orthodoxes or promotes excellence, meritocracy, the good, the beautiful and the true. Stand up to Woke’s founders, Amy Gallagher and Laurenzo Mefsut are both artists. Amy is a painter and works with acrylics on canvas, and Laurenzo is a photographer.
Media: We are involved with creating and appearing in podcasts and documentaries which tackle the taboo subjects of our era. We challenge and stand up to censorship within the media, and aim to give a platform those who demonstrate free thinking, originality, and talent. We write and submit articles for publication.
Community: Stand Up to Woke will aim to create a recognisable brand and merchandise which will enable people to signal their support for traditional western values or a counter cultural response to woke orthodoxy. We are also aiming to host and arrange events for like-minded people to come together.

Amy Gallagher is an English Literature graduate, nurse, and psychotherapist who is currently involved in a legal battle with the NHS. She also a writer painter, documentary maker, and a political commentator.
